Our local Old Thrashers held a fund raiser fish fry and ametuer horse pull this evening. The horse pull was entertaining. It is a holdover from oldin days. The guys who hook up the harness to the sled have a dangerous job. Sometimes the horses will bolt before they are given the command to pull. X.
Sounds like a lot of fun....some beautiful horses. I love horses and think they are a beautiful animal, but I am so afraid of them. Strange, huh?

Truly majestic animals. They used to be the main sorce of power for farmers and loggers. This breed of horse was bred to pull heavy loads. The teams that were in sync with each other had the best success tonight. X.
