Double Diet

Gi Gi and I started a diet together on the 4th. We opted for a low carb diet since we had both had good success with it in the past. Being on a diet at the same time is unusual for us, as we usually are trying to lose weight at different times. It's actually more covenient this way. We're on the same wave length and eating the same foods.
We have each set goals and hopefully we can acheive our intended weight lose.
For me the low carb diet works because I don't feel like I'm starving all the time. One is still allowed to eat items that seem to satisfy that hunger for the 'bad stuff'. I usually don't drink enough water. This diet urges one to get at least 8 large glasses a day. Surprisingly enough, just drinking a glass seems to stop a hunger pange that pops up in the day.
A note for any of you who haven't reached the senior years yet, It gets harder to take off the weight the older you get. So, it would be wise to be at that ideal weight before you arrive in the golden years. X.

  2. Good luck! It's usually easier for men to lose weight than women. I'm not a senior, but it's terribly difficult for me to lose weight. I've been on a mission to cut out excess sugar from my diet for a month or so. It's tough.

  3. I'm Diabetic so cutting out the carbs (sugar) has double benefits. When I am on a full blown low carb diet my blood sugar drops down into the normal range.
Exercise is an important part of a diet for me. Gi Gi and I both have been hitting the treadmill. X

    1. Good luck to you both! Reducing sugar in the diet is so very important for most of the American population, as well as getting more exercise. Gregg and I have been walking every day for over a year, but we're both getting bored with it. We need to come up with something new to keep us active.

  4. Sugar is my downfall too. It's easier for me in the summer when our fruit is ripe - I get my sweet fix naturally. I always lose weight in the summer - it's just keeping it off that's the trick. Best wishes to you both - I think it is easier when you are not doing it alone.

How's your snow situation? Has it melted much in the last two weeks since the puppy photos?
