How?

The recent weather pattern has made me wonder how we would cope with this horrible heat and humidity without the air conditioning or even electricity to propel a fan. Many would perish I'm sure. Makes one wonder if global warming isn't for real.
Imagine this lasting through out the year. If so, I would think there might be a shift in populations to cooler climates to the north. So, get prepared Canada! X.

  1. I often wonder that myself. What must have it been like for our ancestors? No fans...No AC...nothing but pure heat and humidity. Yikes!!!! Just the thought of it makes me cringe. Love your header.

  2. I remember when I was young the old water coolers... we would go out on occasion and hose down the pads on the sides which always made the air cooler inside.... goodness but we have come a long way... attic fans were another thing that came in handy.... Plus I am sure that in older times people spent more time outdoors and just were more used to it... less couch potatoes... :-)

  3. I would die. Just. Die.

I agree with Janie though - plenty of time outdoors - finding some shade and a cool breeze. Difficult in a city of cement, but out here in the Valley, we'd do okay.

I would be fine, actually. Just unable to work or operate any kind of machinery.
